Meet our Characters

 Mr Brad Pip

Mr Pip is the teacher of our bunch.
He was designed by Neil Rees at Wirral Biz.
Mr Pip is passionate about protecting the environment for your future. He will tell you more about his work in the next few weeks.
Andy Apricot
Andy Apricot was based on a design by Chris at Greenleas Primary, Wirral.
Andy is the quiet member of our bunch. He was not very confident after having a few bad bullying experiences at school. He took up Tae Kwon-do, a martial art, last year to improve his confidence and self esteem. He passed his grading last weekend and now has a blue tag belt. Congratulations Andy! A few months ago he entered the English Nationals in Nottingham. He performed his pattern, Dan Gun, in front of thousands of people. Well done, Andy, we are very proud of you!

Penelope Pear
Penelope, or Penny to her friends, is a keen gardener. She has grows fresh fruit and vegetables for Sophisticated Simon's restaurant.
She enjoys looking after the wildlife in her garden, especially the birds. She always looks after the birds in the winter. Click here to read about the bird cake she has just made and hung in her garden. The birds will love it!
In her spare time Sally loves to play and watch tennis. She plans her summer holidays so she can watch all of Wimbledon from her garden.
Mikey Punky Pineapple
Mikey is based on a design by Harry at Irby Primary School, Wirral. Thank you very much Harry, we love your design!
He is a bit of a cheeky chappy who has very kindly volunteered to do a fruit to suit newsletter in July this year.
Mikey wears a hearing aid because he has difficulty hearing. He would like to teach us all some basic sign language in the near future. We look forward to that Mikey!
Hot Banana
Hot Banana is based on a design by Emily at Christ Church Primary, Wirral. Well done Emily, he's fab!
Hot Banana and all his family are Fair Trade bananas. If you don't know what Fair Trade means then come back to visit us soon, Hot Banana would love to tell you all about it and why it is so important to him and his family.
Hot Banana loves to chill out with his best friend Ollie the Active Orange.
Rocking Raisin
Rocking Raisin is based on a design by Sian and Kinane at Grove St Primary, Wirral. Well done girls, he really rocks!
Rocking Raisin is the lead singer in a band called Rocking Raisin and the Raisinettes. He likes to chill out with his best mate Mikey and listen to their favourite band, McFly.
He can't cook very well so likes to eat at his favourite restaurant "Sophistication". It's a big secret but Rocking Raisin has been taking cooking lessons from Colin Currant! I wonder how he is getting on?
Ollie the Active Orange
Ollie was based on a design by Emily at Christ Church Primary, Wirral. Thank you Emily, he's great!
Ollie is full of energy and bounce, he tires us out just looking at him! He loves extreme sports like kite boarding and skate boarding.
Ollie loves to party. He likes dancing and playing musical bumps but doesn't do very well at musical statues.
Sophisticated Simon
Sophisticated Simon owns the celebrity restaurant "Sophistication". Rocking Raisin and the Raisinettes and Brad Pip can be found there most weekends.
Simon has got a degree in Catering and Hotel Management. He owns a chain of fruit to suit healthy tuck shops, one of which has just won a Business and Enterprise Award. Well done Christ Church Primary School, Moreton.
His new project is healthy tuck shops for offices and workplaces.
Colin Currant
Colin is the head chef at "Sophistication". He has worked at some of the top restaurants all over the world.
His hardest task has been to help his friend Rocking Raisin to cook. Even the birds won't eat his biscuits!
Colin is helping Ollie to prepare fun but healthy party food. We all think Ollie has enough natural energy!
Peter Pumpkin Seed
Peter was given a bike for his birthday, the only time he gets off it is when he falls off!! His mum has put her foot down and banned the bike from the breakfast table!
Having watched the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Peter is now eagerly in training for the 400 metre sprint in the 2012 London Olympics. Remember to look out for him!
Peter loves outdoor activities. His Scout group have recently been camping which was great fun and very wet and soggy. They did canoeing, abseiling and orienteering.
Sally Sunflower Seed
Sally was based on a design by Georgina at Brackenwood Junior School, Wirral. Thank you Georgina, she's gorgeous!
Sally likes to go swimming, she and Mr. Pip frequently meet up for a swim after work. Sally's speciality is going down the great white shark slide backwards.
Sally trained long and hard to become a dentist, she loves her work. She would like to show you how to look after your teach properly.
Smooth Strawberry
Smooth Strawberry was based on a design by Emily at Christ Church Primary, Wirral. Thank you Emily, he really is smoooooth!
He has just been on holiday to Turkey. He had a great time but it was really hot. He got sun burned on the fifth day there and had to spend the rest of the holiday in his hotel room. Not much fun!
If you have some spare time, he will tell you, from bitter experience, the best way to 'Stay Safe in the Sun'.
