Gayton Primary Snowy Tuck Shop Launch
The Tuck Shop Managers at Gayton Primary, Wirral were determined not to let the snow stop them from launching their fruit to suit tuck shop on the playground as planned. They refused to be persuaded by the 'oldies' to launch in the comfort and warmth of the hall!!!

The tuck shop is being independently run by the children and is proving to be very popular. This is full credit to the Tuck Shop Team Managers shown below with Claire Bear. They have lead and managed their Tuck Shop Team through the fruit to suit workshops, organised all the workshop's dates and times and have continued to telephone orders through to Donna on a regular basis. What a team!

Jo meets the mayor!
Jo's fruit to suit stall at the Shepway Community Fun Day, Kent on Monday 21st July attracted the interest of Mayor Cllr Denise Joy. She was very impressed with the Jo's healthier snacks and the excellent service which she offers. She is pictured here purchasing a selection of snacks.
Jo has a substantial range of healthier snacks for childrens tuck shops and adult snacks for offices.
If you are living in Kent and would like to know more about the healthier snacks and excellent service Jo offers or would like to meet her for a chat at a forthcoming local event, read her personal profile here.
Enterprise Challenge Award
A huge congratulations to Ch
rist Church (C of E) Primary School, Moreton, Wirral who have just won an Enterprise Challenge Award and £750 due to their highly successful fruit to suit healthier tuck shop.
Check out the hard working tuck shop managers.
Their hard work has included:
Designing and delivering power point presentations to every class in the school.
Designing posters to advertise the opening of their healthier tuck shop and displaying them around the school.
Writing a letter home to parents explaining why they were opening the tuck shop, what they were selling and how much the snacks were.
Setting up a spreadsheet for stock control.
And, their hard work continues each week when they sell the snacks to every child in the school during circle time.
Their teacher, Claire, has seized every opportunity to use the healthier tuck shop to help cover different aspects the curriculum. Every healthier tuck shop team needs an enthusiastic member of staff to oversee the project and the Christ Church tuck shop managers are very lucky to have the guidance of Claire.
Wirral Grammar School
Tony Boustead and boys from Wirral Grammar School have been paramount in setting up over thirty tuck shops across the Wirral. The boys have given powerpoint presentations and held workshops to help the children with advertising, market research and ordering products. The younger children really enjoyed these sessions and gained invaluable business and enterprise skills.

Biodegradable products
fruit to suit are aware we are using thousands of very small plastic bags which are not very environmentally friendly!
We are currently looking into biodegradable alternatives.
The difficulty we have is that biodegradable bags are a lot more expensive and we would like to keep our children's snacks 'pocket money' price.
All newly printed leaflets and booklets will be on FSC certified 100% recyclable paper or 100% recycled paper.
