Before I became a fruit to suit fruit franchisee, I was a full time mum. I have three young children and I have been married for ten years. I was a Dispensing Optician for ten years before I started my family.
How did I become a fruit to suit franchisee?
I have always believed it is important that my family has a healthy diet. I also know how stressful it can be trying to ensure your children eat adequate amounts of fruit and vegetables.
My first contact with fruit to suit was when my daughter came home from school raving about their new healthy tuck shop. After trying some of the snacks myself (they are really tasty!!) I decided to look into it further. I thought it was such a good idea that I became a franchisee.
This business suits me on many different levels:
· I get great satisfaction knowing that I am doing something that will, hopefully, improve the health and eating habits of many school children.
· The hours I work are perfect for me. I don’t have to compromise on the time I spend with my children.
· I work term time only and whilst they are at school so I don’t have to rely on child care.
· I also enjoy working with the school children. I can go into schools and help them with their tuck shops.
Services
Healthy Tuck Shops
I supply to primary schools with healthy snacks for their tuck shops, discos and fairs. The children do the market research, stock control and ordering. This gives them invaluable business and enterprise experience.
I also supply individuals with healthy snacks for their children’s lunchboxes.
I am happy to help set up tuck shops in any child based organisation.
